2010 Camry has the newer engine (2.5L AR series)... AZ was a bit noisy! AR is more refine and produce decent power!

That CVT "shift" sounds nasty. Almost like the clutch is slipping. I drove a civic hybrid with a cvt and it was always thrashy, noisy, redlining itself to death, etc. Worst car I've ever driven. The legacy doesn't look as bad from that video but you'd have to drive one to see for sure what it would be like to live with that CVT. I could never live with that Honda CVT.

I have an 05 Sentra with the 1.8 (QG18DE) and its a very quiet engine. When the engine is up to temp it seems to be even quieter. Perhaps its the yummy dose of GC it gets :)

My car has a small amount of start up noise, but after it warms up it's really quiet and smooth...unless I hit 4k rpm. Then I'm just experiencing bliss and watching my speedo before I go faster than I intend to so I don't notice it then either

My QR25DE engine ('08 Altima 2.5 SL) is only noisy when accelerating, during warm up, on cold days. Missing any of these three factors and it is relatively quiet. So far this cold weather warm-up noise is not affected by oil viscosity, type, or brand.
