NFL Playoffs

That interference call where they picked up the flag was bogus. Even the announcers calling the game thought it was an interference call. A flag was thrown and they picked up the flag!

No sympathy at all for the flag! Det got a scoring drive sustained when a Cowboy BRUSHED the leg of the punter. A short time later, reverse happened and NO CALL.

BTW in the non interference call, the Lion grabbed and pulled the Cowboy defender right into him. I hate Detroit. With Suh and Riaola etc. they are the dirtiest team in the league. Too bad the NFL caved in on Suhs (the repeat offenders) suspension.

Lions played good for 3 qtrs but the 4th qtr has belonged to Cowboys all year
The flag pick up was what shook up the Lions and if I was a Lions fan I would be mad but they could not stop Romo at the end
People can stop saying Romo cant win a big game now
I dont know how far they will go with this no name defense but it will be fun to watch
Every year there is a surprise team so maybe this year it's Dallas
Green Bay here we come

Look to see if the WR actually grabs his facemask....

Panthers are going to Seattle. The Seahawks beat them by 4 points in Charlotte when the Panthers were on they're losing streak. Panthers are a different team now. I'm not saying the Panthers will win, but I think they have a chance. I'm looking forward to the Dallas / Greenbay game. 19 degrees for Greenbay next Sunday, I was hoping it would be about -5 degrees at game time.

Fandome post here. By the letter of the rules that was running into the kicker.

Taking the leg out from under the punter is hardly a "brush", but I agree that DET is the dirtiest team in the league...DAL will be served on a platter next week...

Dallas will lose in GB and people will still say Romo can't the win the big game...

Watch it again
His leg was not hit,the punter fell cause he stepped on the Cowboy on his follow through
This was not a good game for the refs
Go Cowboys!!!

Don't need to watch it again...I saw the play and the replay and the punter's leg was clearly taken out from under him by a Dallas player...legit penalty...Go Packers!

Cowboys have been easy to watch all season. Always looks like they have a chance to win. Today was scarey! 3/4 of the game was Lions, and 1/4 was scarey. OL needs to step up, and 55 needs to SOBER UP!

You are exactly right. The slightest brush causes a dramatic "corkscrew" fall down by the Detroit punter.

Actually I don't mind the call IF the second call would have been made against Detroit when they hit the Dallas punter.

Either call it both ways or neither! I don't care!

You are probably right. I guess Romo will have to be consoled by his eventual inception into the NFL HOF, and his $110 Million dollars (or so, LOL).

Without any SB wins he's gonna have to do a hellova lot more than he has to get into the HOF...and $100+ million contracts mean nothing except to the person getting them....Jay Cutler got one and he ain't worth a darn...

I'm not quite sure what game you watched, but both the call, and the non call were made correctly...then again, Dallas fans see things no one else sees...things that don't exist...I guess that comes from living in Oz...

It is a team win or loss not just the qb
If you dont like Romo thats fine but you cant ignore the fact that he is a very good player and his team follows him
Every qb makes mistakes-even all of the hof ones
Go Cowboys!!!

The flaw in your logic( to me )is the Dallas player that ran into the Detroit punter did so on his own( he dove towards him and ended up hitting his leg )whereas the Detroit player was blocked into the Dallas punter by a Dallas ST player. It wasn't a vicious block by any means but the Detroit player was clearly shoved and the momentum from that shove carried him into the Dallas punter. The Detroit player also tried to catch the Dallas punter and prevent him from being hurt. Just no penalty there. By rule if the player is blocked into the P/K by the kicking team there is no penalty. I think if you rewatch the play you will see this and understand why no flag was thrown.

Bogus is an understatement. It bordered on clear bias and favoritism. Not only that but they picked it up AFTER the head official already announced the penalty and awarded Detroit a 1st down. Then to further make it fishy and questionable they made no announcement of why it was picked up. Are you serious???

There is no question it was PI. The Dallas player never turned his head and he made contact long before the ball was there. The ball was also a catchable one so even that can't be used to defend picking the flag up. One of the most basic, clear, and easy to see( even at full game speed for the ref's )cases of PI you could ask for. It completely and totally changed the game.

I am no fan of Detroit. Too many dirty players on D and in their o-line. However, they played their [censored] off and had the game stolen from them. The ref's in that game should be suspended from any future playoff games and fined. Just a joke what they did there at the end. Detroit should be furious.
