Next gen Milwaukee M12 ratchets

It’s in the Home Depot I frequent. 70 ftlbs of torque is a huge leap over the previous generation.

Tempting…

Then again if I need a wrist breaker I can just use the old 109XPA air ratchet. With that sort of RPM and torque it can put a hurting on you. A reactionless tool is better suited eg IR 1211 Max. JMHO.

I was waiting for these to drop. I have the brushed (non-fuel) 3/8" and wanted to upgrade more for speed vs torque, glad I waited and didn't buy the previous gen. I'd see how anyone with a multitude of the previous fuel high speeds would see no need to upgrade.

The high speeds just upped the speed by cutting the gearing. Sorta like starting out in 3rd -- more ultimate speed at the expense of gear reduction

I want the easier direction change. I wish they could build 'em with a little flip lever like Dual 80s (and most ratchets) rather than the annoying concentric turny-thingy <---highly technical term

Also waiting on a promo 'cause $229 is stupid, but that's Milwaukee retail for you

I was thinking that too. Not sure I want that much torque on the machine.

I have two m12 3/8 ratchets and the insider one. When I just use them without the electric function they can handle a good amount of torque of me moving the fastener. The electric function here since it’s not an impact, is to spin the fastener off once it’s a bit loose.

I’d be interested to see the actual size comparison. My m12 3/8 is a convenient size, this one seems bigger in the head and body.
