I've been reading information on BITOG for a few weeks. I find it interesting and my desire is to learn from the experts. My 2007 Honda Si (my second one) is a hard driven car. (no track stuff) I've read all kinds of suggested oil reports for the Si but is there a synthetic out there that stands above the rest? My son and I are in the process of tuning our cars (he owns an Acura RSX Type S)and we will run them hard.
Oil suggestions? I've read PP is the second best oil on BITOG, who's number 1? No M1 please as it is a comsumption problem for the Si. Thanks.

I feel a little dumb, I've spotted a Si post after I sent my post.

I like Pennzoil Platinum...I've tried it in my Z28, and i still use it in my fathers truck. The only problem i had with it was my car burned it quicker than other oils i've tried, including Mobil 1..LS1's are known to consume some oil...but it seemed like my consumption increased with the platinum. My father has no consumption issues with it tho in his truck. I've never had any experience with Motul automotive oils..I have tried them in my dirtbike, and they seemed to be really good, even though they were pretty expensive. Another good option would be Amsoil..that is my current fill in my camaro, and so far i have been beating on it pretty good and i've only burned about 1/4 quart in 1200 miles...lets see here..If you can find German Castrol, it comes in 0w30...that would be another great choice for your car..Really man any of those 3 oils that you mentioned will work great..afterall it is a honda, its gonna run 4 ever even on the cheapest oil available.
