Looks like a good leaf spring. Wire backing.. nice option.

Not so "new" based on the date code. A tight fitting leaf spring doesn't mean it's sealing, it's just a tight fit with the 4 nubs on the end cap hole. This leaf spring definitely has a smooth stamping. The leaf spring sealing gasket is gone too, even though it's a wire-backed Titanium with louvers.
