New win7 and IE8 user question

Just got a new laptop yesterday with win7 and IE8. Have a question. Is there a way to have all the open IE8 web pages shown in a row on the bottom of the screen like my old vista with ie7?? Now they are all under on tab on the left of the screen. I tried a search but I'm not sure what I want to do is called

BTW laptop is a cheapo walmart $299 deal. Works pretty decent for the basic stuff I do.

I would get rid of IE8 and use firefox instead. Also disable all unused items in windows (look under control panel). Also disable any unused services and startup services (type msconfig in search box to gain access to that). Also run pc decrapifier to get rid of bloatware. Doing all this will speed up your computer tremendously.

you go to the taskbar on the bottom of the screen and right click on it, choose properties, under taskbar tab uncheck group similar taskbar buttons. hit apply and ok and you are set.

firefox in almost all instances has been slower to load than IE on any PC I've used it on. Furthermore, recently firefox has been subject to some of the same malware attacks IE has. Both programs have exhibited symptoms of memory leaks. Chrome on the other hand is much faster than both, and with add ons now, I might start using it more than more.

positive experiences with IE8 and Win7, and recent buggy releases of FF have tipped the balance in favor of IE. I have not used nor upgraded my FF in a long time now.

I don't find FF as buggy at all. It is somewhat slower than most though. Flock is a good alternative as it supports nearly all the neat add-ins for FF.

my wife and I are exclusive firefox users. we have gotten malware attacks using firefox.
