Yesterday I went to DT with my printouts for a set of tires. Spent hours researching, finally decided on 3 tires. DT rep says all those will have to be ordered. OK, what do you have in stock that matches these? After some looking I ask, do you have anything with a rebate? More looking. Finally found a Goodyear tire with a $70 rebate. 70,000 mile rated, $87 each, Ok, bought and paid for. $456.34 with a $70 rebate. Went back this morning and got them installed, looked over the paper work, the tires are now listed at $97... Apparently, that first price was an introductory price. The tires are Goodyear Assurance Ultratour. Good looking tire, we will see how they do.

Introductory price? That's b.s. Did you talk to them and see if they'll reverse it. They need to sell them to you for the advertised price.

Yes. I didn't even notice until later when I looked at the paperwork. The sales rep wouldn't know anything. He was just looking at the computer screen and filling in the blanks. Nice looking tires. smooth and quiet. will get used this year. my son and spouse go to Atlanta once a month and 1 or 2 times to Sumter, Sc as well.
We'll see how they hold up.

You can't wait 2-3 days for them to get the tire you like ?

I think your right. I bought the tires because of the price. My other selections were not on sale anywhere and the $70 rebate sold me. I used to run mid price GY's from Sams and had good results. When Sams dropped GY's and started pushing Goodrich T/A's I put them on 2 cars and had problems with them. Sams PO'ed me early this year so no more Sams.
