^^^ You still don't get it and have the usual one-way glasses on. The whole message is that wavy pleats really don't matter, regardless of what brand filter happens to show wavy pleats. Remember those 10-12 year old posts I dug up in another thread you trolled that showed that wavy pleats talk was taking place even back then. You thought I changed my viewpoint about it all because now the Ultra shows wavy pleats, but as usual you were wrong about that. I've always said wavy pleats don't really matter ... it's just a visual aspect.

Wavy pleats are nothing new, but for some reason some people are really triggered by "wavy" pleats - especially the ex-lovers of those wire-backed Ultras that fail to get into the C&P centerfold anymore. Those are the ones that need a signature series crying towel it seems, lol. Of course, you obviously get triggered when your fanboy filter brand is shown with wavy pleats. It's not hard to see through. 😄

I can get the "torn pleats" version of the crying towels too ... just let me know how many you want. Those are extra absorbent. 😄

We all know what you meant - but, they had a good product and now this - how do we know it maintains even forces/seals coming out a hot mess … not worth it when even cheaper stuff does not do this …
Now you want to down-play this and other issues - that little moisture disclaimer belongs on YT … only a small number of filters doing this … most don’t (same vehicle) regardless of material

It's most likely combustion condensation/water in the oil causing it, as previously pointed out. Plenty of sources talk about that as being the cause of swollen and wavy pleats - anyone can do self research. Every engine produces condensation in the oil on every engine run, and once filter media absorbs moisture and gets "wavy" the pleats don't magically "pop back" into shape. Filters that do it most likely have cellulose that is more sensitive to moisture absolution. Plenty of Purolator made filters and some other brands also exhibit wavy pleats - it's not anything new. People weren't so crazed until lately about "wavy" pleats, lol. It's obviously not "pretty" looking. I'm saying it's a visual aspect, and if the pleats don't tear it's not really doing anything but triggering the beauty pageant judges. If you don't like the way it looks, then buy something else that comes out looking better - still a free country. But give equal bashing time to all the other filters that also exhibit wavy pleats.

this and the other FS10575’s i’ve posted are the reason why i don’t spin anymore on. OG wire backed, endurance or AAP carquest premiums for me now.

Those in my picture are from the same engine - same conditions - same OCI - and are way cheaper - so therefore what do you think they are made from …

I have one Fram Endurance waiting for my EC30 and VRP tests to end - then will go back to leaving them on for two OCI’s - I’m done with Fram XG

it’s honestly embarrassing for Fram to bring forward the current XG. it should be labeled the TG honestly.

Just changed the oil in the Ram and used a Ultra I had on the shelf awhile (2022 date code) and after seeing this I wonder if I should be concerned? I only run 5-7k mile changes on it.

being 22’ it should be an OG wire backed filter and if so, i wouldn’t worry rather be glad i spun it on.
