New Stihl Gas Lawn Mowers

Wish they weren’t so expensive. I love Stihl but no way I’m paying that for a push mower. Gas options have dwindled though so I’m probably going to buy a few gas mowers this year to stock up on because I’m seeing less and less at the stores last year and this year.

Does it really make any difference?

An oil filter means a forced lubrication system. An oil pump. A pump doesn't mean a superior engine, but it does suggest a much better lubrication system overall, compared to a splash lubrication system.

All facts, but people like me are using multiple 25 plus years old splash machinery, still running like new with 125 hours or more time every year.

Not always. Briggs (and some others) had an engine with an oil filter that was splash lubricated. It had a tiny oil pump that was just used to pump oil through the filter. Not a pressurized system.
