LOL Ummmmmmm.........I'll be nice and say a Forester is not practical for my needs and not my "Cup Of Tea"

And sorry but 99% of Subaru drivers I have encountered on road ARE those left lane hogs/EXTREMELY slow drivers. I put them in the "Prius/Hybrid" crowd. 100% NOPE, never in my driveway !!!

Dave
God forbid someone were to see that car in your driveway and incorrectly assume you are one of those left lane hogs/EXTREMELY slow drivers. You'd have to then move from the neighborhood with your head held low.

Premature saying score.. check back after 3 months.

I hope all that info you listed wasnt from the dealer.. sounds like typical dealer story

yep owned by an old lady with one foot she never stepped on the gas its mint!!! hur hur hur...

Yes. I'm wondering if we are getting the full story on why the Suburban needed to be replaced...

Headlights are yellow and all the leather seats are cracked. I doubt this vehicle was garaged all its life, much less stored in an aircraft hangar.

They KILLED off Craigslist when they got greedy a few years ago and charged $5 to list a car for sale.

I am sure CL's motivation was to screen out all the junk and fraud postings by charging $5. CL was full of scams, and the $5 charge prevented a lot of it going forward. The scamsters did not want to pay. I don't think greed was the issue.

I would agree here as well.

Yes, that also I agree. At the end craigslist is DEAD it got "Myspaced" lol

Nice. Looks like it can use a headlight treatment. That plastic is soft so start off with a finer grit than the kit suggests. It’s old enough to not be a snob machine. :)

Ahh....Nice to see a friendly Canadian post on here. Some real "ball busters" on here 🤣 😆

Not gonna mess with all that. I'm getting new headlight assemblies for it 😎(y)

Carfax report and talking to previous owner(both their info matched) for 1 hour

The previous owner was dealer's friend for 35 year

LOL, So I get a Escalade and you think I'm hiding something about my Suburban ?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣What "full story on Suburban" ???????

Very simple as I explained. I chose to keep it as a delivery only vehicle for my car part business toss a bunch of amazon boxes and car parts in it dont care if it gets dinged up or trashed inside cause its a 20 year old/300K mile WORK TRUCK  It runs fine, Cold A/C and nothing is wrong with it aside from a alingment/new steering gear box ?? Just high miles and faded paint 🤷‍♂️

My Cadillac is gonna be the "keep it clean" and nice, NO pets, No "eating inside" road trip, Drive to a nice restaurant family hauler. That's all (y)😎

I had a 2003 Yukon Denali XL for 8 years and 160k that I loved dearly. The 6.0 of those years were pretty solid engines. Only problems I had was a bad ac sensor in the first 5k miles and a fuel pump around 100k. Enjoy

Cheap 2000's GM plastic and Texas sun can do that EVEN if garage kept

Remember it was previous owners family vacation hauler

Dave

Hope it treats you better then that 08 Silverado with the 4.8L that I actually think you said "score" on also!!! :O

Its not a POS disaster money pit vehicle lol. The Silverado is a 12 year old/200K mile work truck so it's gonna have some bugs to work out. Took a long trip to Oklahoma and she did fine 😎 (y)

Those headlights aren't to bad for the age of the vehicle......They would be way worse if it sat out it the Texas sun even half it's life.

It's near impossible to obtain a brand new 4L65E, Probably has a GM Remanufactured (SRTA) unit installed. You could buy a brand new 4L75E through GMPP, But it would have the wrong Torque Converter & be a 2wd model which would require disassembly to swap to a 4WD/AWD output shaft.

I'm assuming it's AWD as I've never seen a 2004 2WD Escalade/Escalade ESV with a LQ9......They had the LM7 5.3L.

Just going by MY personal experience with Subaru drivers while on my drives/road trips. I now remember a Portland Subaru incident I had back in 2016.

Correct sir (y) 😎 AWD LQ9 and according to compine and decode my VIN #

TRANSMISSION,AUTO,4-SPD,HMD,HEAVY DUTY 4L60-E/4L65-E 4-SPD HEAVY DUTY A/TRANS(M32)

Not a big fan of 4WD/AWD cause when it breaks, There goes my piggy bank $$$. But the SCORE Price I got on this esky was TOO GOOD TO PASS UP 😎(y)

And this was in your neck of the woods Cline ??. Dealer was west hills near loop 820 and I30
