I would rather have a Yugo than that Escalade. So would a Yugo.
Polish the headlights and it’ll look brand new, usually those things are clapped out and look horrible, that truck is crazy clean!

What's the point of posting this?
Unlike the part-time New Venture Tcases found in other GMT800 models......Yours has a Borg Warner 4481, Don't think I've ever replaced one!!!! The only caveat is.....It relies on the Stabilitrak to operate correctly! Not to be confused with the NV149 AWD Viscous Tcase used on the earlier Escalade & all AWD Silverado SS models.
*Change the Front Diff fluid & make sure the front diff vent is intact......Most likely needs replacement as the rubber hose dry rots.
*The PS Fluid needs a more aggressive change schedule as the Hydroboost cooks the fluid. Royal Purple EZ Steer PS fluid or Mobil Delvac 1 ATF is what I like to run.
*The age alone would dictate the Fan Clutch nearing the end of it's life. A GMT800 2500HD clutch is a direct swap.
Looks like you have a pretty clean example, As Escalades go......'03-'06 are the most reliable/rugged!
Was there not a time that Escalades were not the #1 stolen vehicle for multiple multiple years in a row?
Yes, when it was the Honda Civic.
Yep,this killer Texas sun destroys plastic in no time at all. I detest plastic headlights! Car companies, please bring back glass!Cheap 2000's GM plastic and Texas sun can do that EVEN if garage kept

Nice car! But please...please don't change the wheels! I see it all the time here in Arizona... 29" Rims and the "Wagon Wheel" look...
If you have play in the steering wheel, check out the steering shaft as most of the time that's what gives you the play. Not sure how GM is configured, but Ford and Chrysler can have issues at the telescoping section that wears and causes play.LOL, So I get a Escalade and you think I'm hiding something about my Suburban ??What "full story on Suburban" ???????
Very simple as I explained. I chose to keep it as a delivery only vehicle for my car part business toss a bunch of amazon boxes and car parts in it dont care if it gets dinged up or trashed inside cause its a 20 year old/300K mile WORK TRUCKIt runs fine, Cold A/C and nothing is wrong with it aside from a alingment/new steering gear box ?? Just high miles and faded paint
My Cadillac is gonna be the "keep it clean" and nice, NO pets, No "eating inside" road trip, Drive to a nice restaurant family hauler. That's all
Dave
A 16 year old vehicle does not make you a snob or cool -- get over yourself ALREADY!!!!
