Unlike the part-time New Venture Tcases found in other GMT800 models......Yours has a Borg Warner 4481, Don't think I've ever replaced one!!!! The only caveat is.....It relies on the Stabilitrak to operate correctly! Not to be confused with the NV149 AWD Viscous Tcase used on the earlier Escalade & all AWD Silverado SS models.

*Change the Front Diff fluid & make sure the front diff vent is intact......Most likely needs replacement as the rubber hose dry rots.
*The PS Fluid needs a more aggressive change schedule as the Hydroboost cooks the fluid. Royal Purple EZ Steer PS fluid or Mobil Delvac 1 ATF is what I like to run.
*The age alone would dictate the Fan Clutch nearing the end of it's life. A GMT800 2500HD clutch is a direct swap.

Looks like you have a pretty clean example, As Escalades go......'03-'06 are the most reliable/rugged!

AWESOME thanks Cline for the info and tips. Ya I had 2qts of this saved for PW steering fluid change that I was planning to do this weekend anways as preventative. But if no on the Lucas then no problem. I got a "Auto zone" manager hook up and can get the M1 ATF for under $7 a qt lol

Just dont want same issue I had with my hydraboost in my ;01 1500HD !! It was torturing the crap outta my PW pump to death. Few weeks ago I Got a offer on it for $6K and SOLD !!!! Then I got that slow mo '08 4.8 truck lol

Good point on Craigslist, Craigslist is dead. Was told months ago to use Facebook marketplace by a friend...he was 100% right. No scaming, much easier, much more traffic, no commission or cost. You can easily communicate with people. It’s great.

Nice car! But please...please don't change the wheels! I see it all the time here in Arizona... 29" Rims and the "Wagon Wheel" look...

That made me think of that commercial,"Could you please pass the jelly?" Haha!

YES !! It was my ONLY reason for asking the title

Ya I agree 100% !! I don't do any of that aftermarket junk.

The 17" chrome factory Wheels are MINT !! But last weekend I picked up some 20" chevy wheels that I want to put on once I find some good tires for them

No choice since 20-22" Escalade wheels/tires are atleast a "G" in dallas area

LOL, So I get a Escalade and you think I'm hiding something about my Suburban ?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣What "full story on Suburban" ???????

Very simple as I explained. I chose to keep it as a delivery only vehicle for my car part business toss a bunch of amazon boxes and car parts in it dont care if it gets dinged up or trashed inside cause its a 20 year old/300K mile WORK TRUCK  It runs fine, Cold A/C and nothing is wrong with it aside from a alingment/new steering gear box ?? Just high miles and faded paint 🤷‍♂️

My Cadillac is gonna be the "keep it clean" and nice, NO pets, No "eating inside" road trip, Drive to a nice restaurant family hauler. That's all (y)😎

If you have play in the steering wheel, check out the steering shaft as most of the time that's what gives you the play. Not sure how GM is configured, but Ford and Chrysler can have issues at the telescoping section that wears and causes play.
