This is a question for Johnny and others who are familiar with the lubricants business.

As some of you may know, Kendall has the new Liquid Titanium additive in their GT-1 oil line-up. Kendall has been pushing the product hard since January.

My local Firestone, Skip's Tire and Wheelworks all carry the GT-1 in bulk. How long will it take for their bulk oil distributor to be carrying the Liquid Titanium in their "pipeline?"

Thanks!

Considering the cost of titanium, there can't be much in the oil. Perhaps it does not require much. Up until Kendall's rollout of the oil, I never heard of titanium being used as an oil additive.

I am aware of a military supplier who formulates oil for specific applications that pioneered the use of microscopically small particles of various metals in the oil many years ago.

Sounds like old news to me.

If you do a search of past topics, it was discussed as a new potential additive that at that time was in the lab and being redied for additive inclusion.

Conoco ran with it and was first to introduce it into their formulations.
