We may see the Euro oils before an API xW-40 here.
I don't have an issue running Euro oils. I have run 0w40 Penzoil Platinum Euro, and Castrol Edge 0w40 Euro without any issue in my F-150.

Well I spent far too long finding it, but finally found a cut filter comparison of M1 AC and VRP.Has anybody been running this? It seems like it hasn’t made much of a dent in our crowd, but I was curious if there’s any feedback now that it’s been out for awhile.
This is for the guys who say their valve train is spotless. Skip to the middle and see how clean this engine is. Then go to around 33 minutes and beyond and see the gummed up and stuck oil control rings. Of course if your engine isn't burning oil then the rings are probably pretty clean.

@WarEagle and @UGASpike are/were running it I believe.
No impressive results of oil burning cured or filters loaded that I have seen yet. Seems to be a pretty bog standard (not bad) synthetic oil so far.
Remind me, as I can't recall. Did your oil burning get better when you ran Red Line Euro 5W-30? Or just the fuel dilution? Or were you not burning at the time?Don't forget, "burning oil" is not the ONLY indicator of jammed rings. Excessive over the top fuel dilution like my car had, is also an indication of jammed rings. After of course, checking that the high pressure fuel pump is not leaking fuel from it's mounting point above/inside the valve cover, being driven by designated high pressure fuel pump cam lobe.
The way he conducted the test left a lot of room for error and questions.Well I spent far too long finding it, but finally found a cut filter comparison of M1 AC and VRP.

Yes that was well covered in the thread. I think it’s meant to be taken as just interesting findings and not as a lab conducted experiment with a firm conclusion. Remember negative studies are important to report too.The way he conducted the test left a lot of room for error and questions.
It was basically an "interesting finding", but still a test that didn't prove anything except his engine is a carbon/soot producer since he saw similar levels of carbon type debris in the filter pleats from running non-cleaning oils before doing the test with Mobil AC.Yes that was well covered in the thread. I never burned oil. If I recall correctly, at about 15,000 to 20,000 miles, I started gaining oil height. I am a short tripper 9 to 10 miles to work and back and 2-3 times a day 3-4 times a week to 7 miles and back to Menards or Home Depot. And I always/90% of the time warm up the car to at least 100F to expand my pistons before driving off. Even in summer too. Worst case scenario.Remind me, as I can't recall.
