New Mobil 1 Advanced Clean

Has anybody been running this? It seems like it hasn’t made much of a dent in our crowd, but I was curious if there’s any feedback now that it’s been out for awhile.

Well I spent far too long finding it, but finally found a cut filter comparison of M1 AC and VRP.

@WarEagle and @UGASpike are/were running it I believe.

No impressive results of oil burning cured or filters loaded that I have seen yet. Seems to be a pretty bog standard (not bad) synthetic oil so far.

This is for the guys who say their valve train is spotless. Skip to the middle and see how clean this engine is. Then go to around 33 minutes and beyond and see the gummed up and stuck oil control rings. Of course if your engine isn't burning oil then the rings are probably pretty clean.

Don't forget, "burning oil" is not the ONLY indicator of jammed rings. Excessive over the top fuel dilution like my car had, is also an indication of jammed rings. After of course, checking that the high pressure fuel pump is not leaking fuel from it's mounting point above/inside the valve cover, being driven by designated high pressure fuel pump cam lobe.

Currently in my daughter’s Santa Fe. About 2,000 miles into this OCI. Nothing to report and I didn’t expect to. No consumption issues before and none now. I grabbed a jug when it first came out due to rebates and discounts. This vehicle will be switching to 4 runs of Valvoline Restore and Protect next.

I am getting a filter cutter so I’ll cut open the filter and post.

Going to run M1 AC to near the end of the OLM. If I cut a filter and there is nothing in it - that will be the same as both VRP and EC30 …
Of course what that means has been as steady and as directionally stable as windshield wipers here …
