I bought it about 2 weeks ago, finally setting up today.
Should I be happy that only this much water and rust drained before even powering it up?

I just bought a 6 gallon Ridgid pancake and the instructions said to open the drain and run it for a half hour to break it in (boy, it’s loud). When I opened the drain about a teaspoon of water came out. No rust though. I don’t think I’d worry about it.

Congrats on the new compressor! I’ve had the same one for almost a year and so far it’s been great. I wouldn’t think that little bit of water would be an issue.

Well, broke it in for 40 mins, lots of shiny stuff in the oil now. I used the oil it came with - foamed up to some degree.
