Trenching PEX for air to a shed?

Sounds very similar to what I have.

I have a small shed in the garden where my compressor lives, mainly to save my ears when I'm working in the garage. I have 30 metres of 15mm HEP2O which feeds into a 100 litre tank in the garage, along with a regulator.

Just curious how this project turned out? I ran 3/4” PVC in a similar application but then I got a pancake compressor and the buried airline has not been used for years.

Some one mentioned pex getting weaker with higher temp? On the older pex in this place, it shows it takes more psi when hotter? And makes sense it would be less brittle.

PEX ? and saving $ over a compressor, you can't just say the pex cost X dollars for 100 feet, you need the fittings and the special tools for what ever pex your going to use. The tools for pex A or B will likely put you back more than $100. so ??? And when done with them you have some almost useless tools taking up space somewhere, yeah unless you have more plumbing to do.

Here’s what I would do. I would run 1-2” plastic conduit and snake a replaceable compressor line through it. And perhaps low voltage, landscape lighting, or Ethernet along with it (might day want a security cam or access point?). I can’t see many hard lines or pex handling 100 psi long term, but the pex would now be replaceable. A 5 gallon buffer tank would do wonders if you plan to use any big cfm tools.

You took the words out of my, err, mouth?

I agree with encasing everything in a big conduit or perhaps 2 (air and electric separate). It gives ease of addition in the future, especially if you leave a small rope or braided strap to pull something else through. Also ease of repair, like if you decide to go pex but find out it doesn't hold up.
