I asked a waitress at a Bob Evans one morning, what is scrapple? She said it was pork then asked the cook and he said it was beef. I gathered it might be a combination of the two, a true mystery meat, and ordered bacon.
This is the way: slice the scrapple, serve hot with maple syrup. It's good. Do you ever have sausage or a hot dog? Those have much the same meat.

I had it that way in Annapolis MD and it was awesome. I remember it like yesterday because it was the day my dad also took me to tour the Naval Academy.
