Why?

I stopped by a local AZ yesterday and the Kendall they had was still the old stuff, not a surprise but no ti formulation. $3.29 / Qt.

Again it was the old formulation. Think I had it in the chevy truck. Nothing more than a seat-of the pants "Ran rough and less torque". I just drove around and said " I dont like this oil at all" ... Maybe if I gave it a couple weeks for the TBN to run down?

Which oil offer lowest wear level:
newest (API SN) Kendall GT1 full synthetci with LT
or newest Motorcraft full synthetic (without LT) ?
(or Honda motor oil without LT)

my corner of the world has the new stuff stocked. I went to get a small stash when they had it on sale for 1.98 per qt. But they only had straight 30 left. Now its off sale of course they have the other grades back in stock

i just purchase 12/1 quart kendall gt-1 10w-40 from the site. price is 30$+ S&H 27$ total around 58$. The thing is oil is cheap but S&H is expensive.

I found it most economical to buy two cases. Shipping was not much higher. I got the full syn 5-30 for 4.80/qt for 24 quarts shipped to my door.

Just ordered two cases of 5W30 semi-syn from Petroleum Service Company. $78.13 delivered. Shipping was $12 and change for one case, $17 and change for two, and shot up to I don't remember what on three. Let's just say that 2 cases was the sweet spot here too.

sparkplug,

I don't think you'll be dissapointed. I'm using it in my 01' Durango V-8 now and for the second time around I've experienced no issues at all. Same flavor too!

My only snit is that it's hard to get cuz my local parts store stopped carrying it a few years ago and since they got bought out I stumbled upon 6 quarts when they're clearing out the warehouse. For the price of $4.50/quart this was a steal and since it's synthetic it fits my pocket book. Anyway I'm fine for another 6 months.

Very neat oil! IMO Mobil/Pennzoil and other leaders could use more competition. For the price of this its tempting to give it a whirl. Would love to see a voa/uoa to see how it holds up in the real world. Titanium additive is a great idea too wish pennzoil would pick up on that.

I posted a voa of the full syn not too long ago. PQI America did a voa on the syn blend.
