New Impala... to be honest, looks rather nice!

I have seen a few running around and it looks very good compared to a lot of the Asian stuff they are putting out these days.

Plus its RWD with the motor going the right way, so its better.

Spot on - they messed that up royally. A last ditch, ill-thought out curve hoping to add more appeal to women. Impala "Classics" (old body style which will still be made as rental cars) will be cheap in a few years on the used car market - I'll probably grab one of those.

No, it's a long wheelbase Epsilon chassis. A Chevrolet LaCrosse.

Neat looking car. Only things I don`t like about are the dumb huge front brand badge (same with all other makes too,why did they all suddeny do this,it looks goofy) and that it`s fwd. They need to make it a rwd V8.

No, nothing is shared with the old W-body. It is retired.

I sat in one on Saturday. I loved it! Vault quiet when running. Fully loaded LTZ with every option you can get in Chevy was 39,000. Might be the replacement for my Buick. It was very nice in person.

Nope that is what this is for...

2014 Chevy SS. I really like it. Basically a Holden Commodore.

That lines around the rear quarter panel is the (not-quite) trapezoid motif found on the front and rear light/ports, as well as the sides (mirrors)...
See here the shape around the fender mirrored in the rear lights:

I don't much like it (there) being so "all over the place," but it IS in keeping with the overall design.

Just saw these at the dealer on Wednesday. Really surprised me in person, and a nice interior to boot. Looked like an awful lot of features for the money, and turbo 4 powertrain is on the way for nice mileage numbers.

Not bad. A bit much chrome for me, but this looks like a high trim level.

What was behind the LCD? A cubby hole and a USB jack?

I think the intent was that the large lower portholes at each end "match" the lights above them. The rear lights match (and share a border with) the rear quarter panel flare...all the shapes being trapezoidal-like...including the side view mirrors...

I'd say at least a 20". I am drawing from Jaguar's XK8... Had 20"s.

Looks like a chevy-cied KIA optima. Although it seems to be a nice change for GM, I'll still steer clear until some really solid Q numbers start coming out.

I think the Impala is a pretty good effort for GM, if the quality is there-and it probably is-I'll recommend it to my non-enthusiast friends.

It's built off the Epsilon II platform (LaCrosse) so I am sure it's solid. LaCrosse has a great reputation.

1st time a platform goes DOWNstream?

I'm hoping to nip me a used LaCrosse this year or next. When the time comes for that one to retire, a used Impala could be next.
