There is a lot of hype involved. The G-Oil biodegrades faster than "regular" synthetic, but all motor oil degrades eventually. And you still have to dispose of the used G-Oil just like any other motor oil.
The other thing that G.E.T. is downplaying is the biological source of their bio-based oil. It's not plant based, it's from animal fats. In other words, if someone is against fur and leather, they probably want to stick with regular oil.
I'm also taking advantage of the rebate and I've got over 1000 miles on the stuff. It still looks like it did the day I put it in. The big question: is it worth the regular price of $26?
