New Fram Force 12447 C&P

Bought this from AAP during their clearance for my Sierra. Didn’t realize it had louvers (ones I bought for my daughter’s Santa Fe didn’t) so I didn’t check until I got home. Didn’t like the look of them so put it aside until I got a cutter.

Anyhoo, glad I didn’t use it. Lol

This kind of garbage just keeps confirming to me that oil filters should not be made with louvers ever.

I don’t like the housings on our Jeep or Lexus - but certainly like being able to see the cartridge filters easily - BEFORE and after OCI …

Fram has jumped the shark, for sure, with the cans.

The cartridge version for the Pentastar still looks of high quality, but man, these cans.

Is the Force the equivalent of the TG? I have an Extra Guard in my stash. Haven´t seen anything ugly out of those....yet.

Here's to hoping Premium Guard can straighten them out, taking over the 2 factories & apparently consolidating them in the Champion Labs facility in Albion, IL. I bought a few of the Fram Drive AAP closeouts in the FD10575 & FD10060 sizes, they've all been Ecore so far. When I get a used one I'll cut & post it.

Yes, the Force was just AAPs exclusive version of the tough guard
