New commercial Mower What oil?

Some newer Briggs Inteks had issues. Briggs stood by the warranty and replaced them. Then they upgraded the Intek line to "Extended Life Series Engines" and most recently "Extended Life with XRD".

IS ACD better or as good as ASE Amsoil?

what issues did they have? i'm just saying mines been great so far ACD and ASE are about the same with some differences,both great to use in small engines.

200 hours is still new. Kohler engine 400 hours yearly with 100 hours OCI(per manual) with Delo 400 30 wt. Presently 1400 hours runs like new.

Oil is very easy on the Kohler with an oil filter. When drained oil looks good.

I'm not a fan with multigrade. I use but Delo400 30wt and 40wt. I tweak it combine both for my application. I tried the Delo 400 10w30, it felt like something was leaking or something. The oil was out after 5 hours.

If your aiming in using a synthetic oil Amsoil does offer a 30wt for small engines. No bias on it I've got thousands of hours on small engines. The 30wt has serve me well.

In 200 hrs if there was a problem it would heve showed up is what i was getting at.

I like the recommendation listed earlier to use an HDEO.

My 17.5 horse B&S gets Rotella-T Synthetic 5W-40. I mow a LOT in Tennessee. And it gets worked hard. Does very well in it. Doesn't bog down as easy as with a non-syn 15w40 that I have in it now. I'm going to stick with Rotella T Synthetic 5w40 in it, but the Valvoline Premium Blue 15w40 is all I had on me. Feels like I lost 3 horsepower with it.

The Rotella will serve you well. Yes I would use a HDEO as I have seen engines reach it's peak and felt the HDEO played a good role on it's endurance, engine cleanliness.

Well, I will use the Mobil 1 10w40 as stated earlier for awhile for sure now, I have stockpiled 10 quarts. 2 Walmarts stopped carrying it so I bought plenty from another ww which is the only place I could find it. I guess if the UOA comes back bad when I do it, would be the only reason to stop. 24 hours on first run so far. Travis.

I truly believe that every manufacturer and for that matter every engine has somewhat different requirements as far as oil goes. You can tell sometimes by just listening to the engine...sound of the valves ...the amount of time it takes to shut down etc. Of course used oil analysis have some value too.

You might not be happy going with a 30wt.
