GTX: Every 4 months or 4,000 miles
GTX Synthetic Blend or GTX High Mileage: Every 5 months or 5,000 miles
Syntec or EDGE: Every 6 months or 6,000 miles

8/150k warranty with GTX
10/250k warranty with GTX Synthetic Blend and GTX High Mileage
15/350k warranty with Syntec
15/500k warranty with Edge

Of course, vehicle must be less than six years old with under 100,000 miles. Warranty is not transferable and you are only allowed one exception.

Not a bad warranty I must say, as it doesn't require the same interval for every oil type.

The warranty on the edge was if you changed it every 6months or 6k.

I am seriouly thinking about the Syntec for my Toyota. The 6 month/5,000 mile interval lines up perfectly with the factory warranty.

Yeah, they might as well just say "1 gazillion miles". It really does not matter. The engine will die of other causes before it dies due to improper lubrication at these intervals.

Now that BP owns the Castrol trade name I wonder who actually makes their oil?

I dunno but it might be why we have noticed higher than normal sodium content in the oils as of late.
