New cartridge filter

Bought a Motorcraft cartridge filter(FL-2017B) for the Fusion today at Walmart($5-6). Will be doing an OC in 350 miles as the 10K mark is almost up. I needed a filter, I was at Walmart, so I bought it. First time for the MC in this engine, I believe.

As you know tig.....Motorcraft has a good reputation for oil filters.

Motorcraft cartridge filter FL-2017B is $5.21 at Rockauto, it has Mann cartridge filter ML1019 for only $2.77. Mann cartridge filter is very good quality, Mann filter is OEM for many German engines. Amazon has Mann ML1019 at $6.55.

The MANN filters (regular non-cartridge type) that I bought at RockAuto seem to be rebadged Purolator Classics.

I use the MC 2017b in my CX& Mazda. The filter seems to be very well built.
