Hey guys,
I have a real weekend car now, a brand new 05 s2k. As of right now, I have just reached the 1000 mile mark, and have now started to beat and let the engine sing da vtec song. But, I dont want to leave the stock oil in for to long, so heres some questions.
1. I'm going to get the oil change asap. I have 5 free oil changes at the stealership, so how long should I go on the dino? Ive read on here that its semi-syn, so I think I will go 2k at each interval? Provide enough protection? Then move on to m1 at around the 10k mark.
2. At what point should I get a lab report on used oil at? 2nd oil change, 3rd?
3. Does anyone know if the s2k filters are still the same ones from 2-3 years ago, because some reports have said that honda outsources them now to another sub par company.
4. What weight should I use in sunny so cal? 5w30 since its high revving? This car will probably get about 500 miles a month, max. Probably in the 5-7k a year, I believe. The trunk is too **** small for road trips tho.
Sorry for the long questions, and thanks again.
