Hi guys, i just did my first oil change on my new 2009 nissan versa. I changed the factory oil at 3K miles, which happened to occur at the 3.5month mark. I replaced it with 5w30 mobil 1 full synthetic and a mobil 1 filter. My OCI is going to be 7500miles/6months, I usually only average 1K per month, and 50/50 city highway. I was wondering, since the car is still new and in the break in period, should I do the next 1-2 oil changes a bit earlier than 7.5K/6months?
Thanks for the help!

Go by your warranty for a few oil changes. Then the M1 will be good for 8-10,000 mile OCIs with no problem.

You will be fine in fact if you where going to change the oil earlier you would have wanted to do it dureing break in not after break in! So no need to shorten anything. Your engine is about as clean as it will ever be and the oil wil last longer then ever now. I am sure you rings are already seated. As the engine get's dirter and more blow by gets past rings that is when shorter oil changes will be needed.
