New car - 2024 Corolla LE

^^^ My 2015 Altima 2.5SV CVT was fine too. ATMOF, it was very nice to drive and flawless right up to the time that I sold it in 2023. I assume that the next owner is also having good success with it as well.

I really like those Corolla's. Great price, fuel economy and looks plus that will last almost forever with good maintenance. I had one with about 250,000 miles on it and ran great when I sold it. It was a medical courier delivery vehicle and it was only about 5 or 6 years old when I bought it. I think it was a 2004.

They seem to come pretty well equipped. Not like the old days.

Does yours beep if you take the key out but have the window down? mine does. Annoying. Beeps when I get in and put the key in too. Apparently it thinks I'm a typical Toyota driver and blind to the fact that the window is down...

I like how it sets off an alarm if I get out with the lights on. Makes sense... except nearly every other car out there has auto-off for this sort of thing. Little details like this make you realize how they push you into the more expensive cars.

On mine, I wound up leaving the middle seatbelt buckled "always". I made the mistake of giving coworkers a ride for lunch one time. Car insisted that the middle passenger wasn't buckled despite no one there. Took us a few minutes to realize to just buckle up the phantom.

Speaking of keys, don't lose it, it was nearly $400 to replace mine.

My in-laws went from a 96 Corolla to a 2023. My mother in law drives it. She's 85. She hates it. LOL. She wants her 96 back. Too much new stuff. It has climate control and they must have asked me 5 times how to turn the heat on.
