Just put new brakes on the CR-V, the originals were getting a little thin and the rotors were pretty rusty in places. A tip for anyone else needing to pop the rotors off a Honda; the bolt holes take two M8 x 1.25mm threaded bolts, easily available at Lowe's or Home Depot.
So I put semi-metallic pads on, and from what I'd gathered I did some low speed stops before getting on the highway, and did 10 cycles of getting up to 60 and braking hard down to 10 MPH (on the shoulder), with a minute or two between them to let the rotors cool. Sound about right? They work fine, albeit a little noisy.
