Weird.

I can visualize Hans Gruber in the driver seat, yelling "DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITYYYYYYyyyy!!!" as he smokes off into the distance.

It would be Arjen Rudd yelling 'diplomatic immunity'.

I bet it's all about doing those 15,000 mile OCI with cheapest possible oil (possibly non-detergent). Or even not doing any oil changes.

Yes, people are that stupid.

I was just reading reviews on a digital picture frame on Amazon and some people left one star and some other 5 stars. Turned out the one star people didn't understand you have to put a memory card inside to actually see the pictures.

Being a BMW doesn't make it immune to neglect or just being a defective POS. Just like being a Honda didn't stop this car from succumbing to its fate.

I was racing someone like that down the boulevard here in the city.

Well, I didn't realize I was racing, but the other party thought we were in a race. His "mad civic, yo" burnt more oil than my Jeep burns gas.

For what it's worth, I won ... and I was taking off real easy to conserve gas. haha

I realized that we were racing and I had won when he slowly acellerated by me on all 2 cylinders and gave me the finger.

BAH HAHAHAHAHAH, I had a similar experience in my Mustang years ago, I was pulling into the turning lane for Canadian Tire, and I guess the Civic that was behind me coming out of the food store had been trying to race me. He went by me at WOT as I'm slowing down. I always drove that car aggressively, so it was likely the 4lb-ft of torque he was making just wasn't enough and he had to wait until he was at 12,000RPM and stage 12 VTEC before he could catch up to me. And at that point, I was already slowing down to turn

Yeah those guys are entertaining. They forget that they have slow economy cars and not performance cars.

Even a new SI your older M5 would munch it doing an 80-150 pull.

Even my son's bud in his 400+ awhp Subaru cannot run from a 60 roll with me. Start at 80 and it looks easy.

Always take the top end roll on if you want to really get the little guys. Some of them have great gearing and better traction so 0-60 is their forte'.

Yes but putting on a phart can muffler makes it an instant race car. You didnt know that? j/k I hear those stupid kids winding those cars into oblivion around here all the time.

Some Civics have some pretty exotic machinery beat for power to weight, but 220whp just doesn't push as much air as 360whp... At some point the aero drag to power ratio takes over.

Would you prefer the mall crawlers we have here? The kids that wear the flat bill baseball caps and have their pickup trucks lifted 10+ inches with 20 or 22" wheels that never go off-road or get any specs of dirt on them whatsoever. The ones with diesels run straight pipes and roll coal all over the place.

Yeah they really make them scream, they love that Vtech.

I remember one time I was in my friends S600 and a pretty new Civic with a loud muffler was trying like heck to pass him on the right on I91. He made quite an effort out of it, but the big V12 simple shrugged it off with little more than a couple more RPM; the bi turbo V12 was like yawn wake me up when its a Z06.

No, not much better, but at least it IS something different, and at least they are domestic nameplates (the oil burners anyway).

Some of the "JDM YO!", kanji characters all over their 'whips' punks around here seem to worship Japan (and everything/anything NIPPON) MUCH more so than their OWN country.

This is as ignorant of a comment I have seen on here.

Just because you buy from a Japanese car company doesn't constitute this remark. 99% of Japanese cars that are sold here and MADE here... Not 100% of the car granted (some parts are made elsewhere and shipped here) but c'mon. If you are going to point fingers, better think about the other countries "we Americans" buy.

So, because I have a Mazda, and I happen to like Japan, and I actually have considered getting a rather small kanji bumper sticker means I'm awful or something? Noone on here can accuse me of being anti-american too.

I did not say you were "awful", but do you REALLY want Japan (or ANY other country for that matter) to be doing MUCH better than your own, NO MATTER how much you "like" them??
Tell me, as a matter of habit, do you ALWAYS root for Japan (or ANY other country) to beat the daylights out of U.S. competitors in world championship, or Olympic competition???

It's funny how when it comes to; the sports one watches/follows, 'worldviews', etc., it is perfectly A OK for the majority (on here, AND in this *****-leaning country) to label one "un-American", or "not a patriot", (or WORSE), but as far as supporting our OWN economy, and country's products/companies go, well that's just HAS TO BE a free for all/ANYTHING goes, correct??

I'm using this term loosely: "Better products" warrant better sales regardless of where they are "from".

And this goes for all products, not just cars.

Rooting for an American team has nothing to do with products.
