Get ready to say thankya to 53' Stude... he's offline now or I would have told him first. I got a bug up my heinie and decided to fill my cart with filters. These are all the front filter off the shelf today, so there "shouldn't" be any old production dates. Obviously the SuperTechs are brand new since they are the blue E-cores, and the Motorcraft filters have some weird new boxes. I will get these out this week, and stay tuned to the filter forum near you once our awesome resident filter slayer completes his work! Hope everyone enjoys! Happy early black filter Friday!

Something for us to learn about is never a waste. Now, if the oil filter companies paid as much to QC as we try to, things might be better. But, they don't want to waste "good" filters, I suppose.

Ants, Adam does a fabulous job of helping friends n family with their vehicular maintenance. Plus, he's a fellow veteran and squid, so I'm sorry if you don't get it. You can find plenty of C&P posts that he does aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, politicians, yada yada yada's oil changes. To put it simply, he's a stud and great asset to this board. I send him new filters and really don't care if he C&Ps them fresh, or after an OCI. Not all of them get cut as virgins, and regardless if it's before or after oil has touched them, I decided to donate to the knowledge of the board and 53' Stude is a great contributor.

Whether cut as virgin or as UOA, there is no cost to you, so please just sit back and enjoy. If you can't, just be glad the money didn't come out of your pocket.

I get what Ants is saying. I prefer to see filters after they've been used to see how they hold up. However, like you said, you paid for them and I will enjoy seeing them cut open.

Dang... I was hoping to see the 1516 sliced open since I have a couple more on the shelf.

I got two used Napa ProSelect 21372s coming as well, and replaced one with a 1372 and one with a 31372, so the Ford Mod motor guys should be getting quite the show soon

I may cut it open; too many tough decisions LOL!
 
Yep I took over maintenance on the church vans... talk about unused capability... there is a 2003 E350 with 46k, and a 2004 E350 with 60k. I did both OCIs this week, and did a trans filter and a gallon of Maxlife on the '04... trans had never been serviced; still had the assembly plug in the trans pan. Fluid was still beet red and only had a little slime on the magnet. Amazing...

The '03 will get a filter and gallon of Maxlife soon if the weather cooperates

Sure thing, joe. I'm sending a variety of inexpensive and midrange filters, and one way or another, I know Adam will cut them open. Some will be virgins, some will have been donated to good causes (F&F) for OCIs. Both are necessary to make the world go 'round. Just glad I can help a guy as good as Adam, and get the benefit of seeing all these filters cut open

I've found I can send 8-10 filters to Adam for the same cost of a UOA+TBN, and this is much more enjoyable to watch

Speaking of sending stuff; i need to get motivated and mail off that 10k run of M1 10w40HM UOA to Atlanta

I'll cut the NAPA GOLD SubyRubieRoo sent me in a bit also
