Chopped up one of these today (actually a 145)...and was really very very impressed.

Steel centre tube, metal end caps with ample glue, silicone ADBV, dead straight pleats, as the centre tube seems to be glued to the end plates also.

metal thickness significantly greater than nearly any other OEM/aftermarket filter I've cut up...and it's about as cheap as they come down here.

What's it cross to? How much media surface area?

Yep, all of the above.

After I butchered it open with metal shears, I lost interest in photos.

Z154 is the buick v-6 US (L67 in my case) filter.

I'll do better next time.
