I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.0 I6 in it. I use Mobil 1 5W30 Truck and SUV formula. I bought some Castrol GTX 5W30 to use during the ARX cleaning phase and I plan on buying the same for the rinse phase. Is this a good oil to use? Or should I look at something else?

By the way, I will change the Mopar oil filter after 1250 miles during cleaning and after 1250 miles during rinse.

Welcome to BITOG!

As long as the GTX is not a high mileage oil, you're fine for the clean and rinse. Why are you changing the filter at 1,250 during the clean phase? How many miles do you have on this vehicle?

You can change the filter if the filter if you want but i would use a supertech or something like that, no need to go expensive with the clean/rinse phase.

Filter change at 1250 is not really needed as long as you put a fresh filter on when starting each cycle or unless you are doing the "heavy sludge" application:

Drive 2,500 miles, changing your oil filter after approximately 1,250 miles. Change your oil and filter again, do not add Auto-Rx or any other additive. Drive an additional 3,000 miles, changing your oil filter after approximately 1,500 miles.
