I'm waiting for test results from my short tripped Pilot from both Blackstone and Oil Analyzers to compare.

I did put it on my slip and contact Oil Analyzers to use the GC for it for fuel dilution.

With the short trips, winter etc you could look at getting a MityVac to make a vacuum and refill easy, leaving the filter until convenient.

Are the 20W-50, 15w40 same brand or other versions from initial fill. Many discussion here on competing chemistries etc. Throwing really thick stuff in 1/2 way through to me us like using Lucas.

Some HPL No VII might be good if the shearing is what you think it is, at least for a run or 2. For me and the Hyundai 2.0NU GDI after a test and seeing dipstick rise, I reduced the OCI to 3k miles / 6 months and 5w30 instead of 5W-20. I still have to get that retested.

With the tools for easy swap available my opinion is just get the junk out, put in new, more frequently instead of trying to compensate to extend OCI, by adding thicker as it uses, YMMV. The Euro versions in 0w20 through 5w40 are pretty well available for less than $30 at Walmart so after you test for reference, really doesn't pay for future tests unless you just want to know.

If our using oil and need to add with the short trips I would suggest the usual PCV swap and then Valvoline Restore and Protect in 5w30 to get rings cleared up and then swap at the 3k's.

No, but you are at the same time posting a Blackstone test which is completely unreliable for determining mechanical shear of the VM. So which is it? I need to get lost for asking you to make it clear what you're talking about? As far as I can see you have zero evidence of any shear.

Often times on here the Shear Monster is likened to "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha" when for the vast majority of viscosity deviations it is fuel dilution. Just like Overkill notes above for your case.
I see you're not paying attention. Maybe go bother someone else.

Or, you could at least attempt to understand the issue that I and others are showing you, and respond appropriately. So far all you've been able to manage is several snarky and silly responses to me that show you are unable to respond on a technical level.

At least I can follow a discussion.
