Anyone own one of these? I know they have a unique look to them. Dealer has a 2016 base sport model 6 speed manual and four wheel drive $18,000 after all the rebates. Seems like an improvement over Patriot/Compass. I prefer the manual over the 9 speed auto.

I looked at one when my wife bought her 2017 Cherokee. It had decent legroom for the driver, but that's all I can contribute. The styling is subjective, but I don't like the X on the tail lights. Makes the car look like it's dead lol.

We are looking at them, one member here told me there have been electrical problems. Unless you find a model with the power sunroof, it reguires some sort of wrench to remove the sunroof panel.

I have been to 2 dealers , that did not have a power sunroof model.

Test drove one awhile back. Not a bad driver, but felt a little on the cheap side. I've read some reviews and there is a LOT of Fiat in that vehicle, and there's been issues with reliability. I'd pass.

I'd lease a stick shift one, wouldn't get an auto, enjoy it while it's under warranty and turn it in before it runs out. I'm 6'1", lotsa leg room up front. It's built in Italy.

As a side note, there are a lot of "Easter eggs" to find: a tiny Bigfoot, an Italian speaking spider, maps, and tons of Jeep grilles.

They are kinda cool, and they do drive well. Wife really wanted one, and thought about getting one...could maybe even been my son's first car down the road....

That said-nope. When a good friend of mine who works at the dealership tells me not to bother even leasing one, the says all I need to know. He actually suggested she would do better better with the decade old Compass...

There are 6 of them on the side of the building waiting for repairs...none of these are even a year old. And it's not just one issue, some have quite a few. Not a good sign at all....

Hope the new Compass does way better than this one....

My girlfriend has a 2016, Latitude 4x4, with the 2.4. I've probably driven it more than her haha. We like the car a lot. It has had some annoying issues so far. The thermostat messed up, and when it did, it disabled the 4x4 system and remote start. And it just happened to occur the one time it snowed this year! Also, the fog lights started working intermittently, then one at a time at speed, and that turned out to be a bad connector. We have been waiting for new seals for the front windows for about 4 or 5 months now, at speeds over 70, there is a lot of wind noise, and it's very frustrating. The parts are on backorder from Italy, and there is no time table for when they'll be here. Overall, we enjoy the Renegade. I'm not sure if she would buy it again, honestly. Too many times to the dealer in 14k miles, and 1 year of ownership. I'm trying to get her to trade it in on an escape when the bumper to bumper warranty runs out
