Given the potential for theft I tend to only leave a small number of Asian-made cheap tools in cars. That is, a small plastic box of tools that can be had from a department store for under $100, perhaps with an aftermarket jack and wheel brace/breaker bar, plus duct tape, water, soap and paper towel. The good quality stuff, worth thousands, stays home.
