Do you guys wax the car after using ONR? I know it adds a bit of protection and shine, but don't think it's equal to a dedicated wax.

I am thinking of using a quick spray wax after using ONR - is it overkill?

Looks like people use DG Aquawax / ONR combo a lot as it's considered the longest lasting spray wax...
- can i use it after washing with ONR and just spray while it's still wet with ONR and just dry? as in:

Wash panel with ONR
spray DG Aquawax
Dry

would It last longer if I dried after ONR, and THEN used DGA like a regular spray wax?

I would follow the directions for use for each product.

On a previously waxed surface (i.e. within the last month or so), I find ONR prolongs the longevity. The paint is normally slick after I use ONR so it definitely leaves something. I think if you've put a coat of quality wax/sealant on your car recently that you wouldn't need to wax it. But if you're OCD and you have time on your hand it would certainly not hurt.

But I use something that takes 5-10 minutes to apply, so I do it often when I can.

using a spray wax while drying is a great idea. They also make a new ONR wash and wax which sounds good. Nothing will replace a traditional wax but at the very least you will be adding some better shine and protection while washing.

Use the ONR and wipe the surface dry then use the Duragloss Aquawax. In truth it contains no wax and is a sealant. If the ONR is left on the car (wet) then the dirt is still there in solution. The AW needs a clean surface to do its job so wipe the ONR dry first removing the dirt. With the AW a little goes a long way, it's easy to apply too much which might result in minor streaks. If so spray just a little more and wipe it off along with the streaks.

If you're doing a regular bucket wash and just rinsed the car with water after using a soapy mit to wash it then you can use the AW as a drying aid and shine enhancer.

I use Griots Spray wax when drying with ONR - I already have a seasonal coat of wax on the cars anyways, I think both add to the longevity and shine of the cars.

There's no need to apply something at every wash...maybe once a month for a spray wax. I use AW while drying an ONR wash.

I finally did ONR wash today - It's truly a great product - my car was pretty dirty, and it's amazing how easy it was to get it looking very clean and shiny again.
The finish is very smooth and slippery to the touch.

it's a white car so one cannot really show it off but I took 2 pics (iphone) of the hood anyway:
the 1st one shows just after ONR and 2nd one shows with a thin coat of Meg's Ultimate Quick (spray) Wax...I didn't/don't see a huge difference, but the finish FELT a bit smoother after the Quick Wax...

I might get a more 'serious' spray wax product like Duragloss or Optimum Spray Wax next time...
