I am thinking to replace the front rotor for a 2000 TL when i do the brakes. I already get Akebono ProACT pads. (front and rear) Thinking to get ATE PremiumOne for the front rotors, and only reservice the rear.

Just wondering how are these rotors?
any known problems?
How are these rotors compare to Brembo blanks?
Will it be a good combination with Akebono ProACT pads?

The reason i am thinking this rotor is because CanadianTire having these on sale now "buy1 get the second one for half price" and i got a quote for $89 CDN without tax...

any info will be appreciated, and thanx for your time!

No complaints from the limited people that use them. Just about any premium aftermarket rotor will be a vast upgrade from the OEM Acura rotors, which seem to be extremely prone to warping.

None that I know of.

They are slotted, Brembo blanks aren't. Both are high quality rotors. At the price that you're being offered, it's hard to pass up this deal.

I don't see why not. Akebono ProACT pads work great in every application that I've heard of them being used in. It's one of the few ceramic brake pads that truly deliver a slight upgrade in braking performance (in comparison to the OEM pads) yet still deliver zero noise, minimal dust, long rotor life, and reasonable price.

No rust issues here in Sacramento, but that's because we don't get any snow here.

Given sufficient time and exposure to elements, you will get rust in those grooves.

Why would you care about rust in grooves? Are you just into looks or are you into performance or both??

Unless it's all cadmium plated, otherwise, all the wearing surface shall be exposed to fresh Fe and those surface shall rust sooner or later.
