I'm not questioning whether Mobil is good or not, this is what I usually run in all vehicles. My car is a Chrysler 300 with a 3.5 Liter, Chrysler recommends 10W/30. I do live in colder climate area ( it's been 30 degrees or lower each morning), this is why I picked it for this time of year. The issue is, ever since I put it in my car I hear more engine noise/Ticking. I never heard this before until I used this oil viscosity. The ticking is more noticeable until my engine is completely up to temp. I'm thinking maybe I need to go back to a thicker oil and see if that helps.

It will be thinner on cold start ups and it will still be a 30 weight at operating temperature, use it with confidence.

Yes, this is why I chose OW/30 as thinner should be better on cold start up, get to the moving engine parts quicker to prevent a dry start. Thanks for replying, I will use it with confidence as I think I made the right choice. I'm using a Mobil 1 Extended performance Filter. It seems to do the job for me, as a lot of oil rushes out of the engine when I pull it, telling me the anti drain back valve is working well and I have some oil to get to the engine quickly.

I had some really excellent UOAs with Mobil Ow-30 in my 4.7L Dodge in Minnesota. I really didn't notice a huge difference over the 5w-30 syn blend I ran before, but extreme cold seems to be right in the 0w- oils wheelhouse, so tee it up. I thought it was just fine. I am running 0w-20 in my Jeep (now located in Virginia). I got my best mileage ever (23.98mpg) in a vehicle rated at 19mpg. My previous best was around 21.5mpg. Not to say the oil was the only reason, but I bet it didn't hurt.
