I need a new lightweight aluminum jack. I have been spoiled by the quality of the 2-ton Hein Warner jack that I have my parents' house, but it is too heavy to lug around.

I would prefer to keep the cost under $300, but I am not sure if this is realistic. Also, the lift height must be around 20".

Right now, the only one that comes close is the AFF 200SS, but this one is a bit more expensive than I would like.

Thanks.

Check with Harbor fright. A friend has had their alum jack for several years and it is used a lot. No problems to date.

I have it and the release turn only drops with weight on it, otherwise you need to push it down or step on it. I've used it maybe 10-15 times and it would appear it is starting to have issues. It is light and it looks cool though

Interestingly, the HF 3-ton steel jack only weighs about 13 lbs. more than the aluminum. I checked with Northern Tool and found similar info.

I have the steel 2.5 ton Rapid Pump Harbor Freight. I got it on sale for $99 and works unbelievably well. The aluminum is the same system, just lighter and a bit more expensive. Lifts the whole front half of my pickup like nothing.

It will fit under anything at only 2.75" and will lift to 20". Unbelievable stroke for such an inexpensive jack. Still feels just as strong as the day I bought it. It rolls very nice too. Couldn't be happier.

I see its on sale for $79 now. http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-...pump-68049.html

heres all of them http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/floor-jacks.html
Years ago when I bought mine, it was the best bang for the buck. Still looks like it is out of all of them.

I thought you were being clever. I seriously laughed out loud at that one.

The fine print on my 20% off coupon says that the discount isn't valid on floor jacks (plus other things). Has anyone seen a 20% off coupon that could be used for floor jacks??

I have a little 2 ton aluminum racing jack from Harbor Freight and it works great. I've had it for about 8 years and never given me any trouble.

About a year ago, I also bought a steel 3 ton from Harbor Freight (since I've had such good luck with the aluminum) and it too has been wonderful. I needed one that had a higher lifting range.

For the price, I don't think you can beat their jacks!
