I also think it might be a bad design or sloppy manufacturing of the anti-drain back valve (ADBV). I've seen ADBVs made of thin metal/plastic and cheap looking springs. Somehow they get easily stuck open. But it occurs after years and years of service.

I see an expensive recall coming for an expensive car. In the meantime, Accusump would make a killing from some OCD Genesis owners.
 
My 'STP' suggestion was an April Fools joke. I expected a much stronger reaction. I agree that additives don't work and only serve to seperate you from your $$$. You are probably best served with the best oil filter you can find and a good 5w20 or 0w20 synthetic to insure fast oil circulation.

PS: I have used Slick-50 in the past because it promised to prevent dry start wear. I now realize that was more marketing than science. It didn't seem to do any harm except for the $20 buck hole in my wallet.
