Need somebody to paint new panel. Dealer want's $2500 to replace front bumper cover, Grill, Grill surround and bits and pieces. I can replace them myself w/OEM parts for about $700. The panel will need to be painted (Tuxedo Black) and I am not equipped to do that. anybody in the Central Texas that can do a good job?

I could take it to the dealers body shop for the paint but don't think they will be happy about it LOL.

2013 Fiesta SE Hatch Manual 5 speed. 95,000+ miles. Just completely rebuilt front and rear suspension, brakes, transmission, so it's a keeper.

Guy in the gas station filling up his pickup next to me said "you got the right kind of car"

How far away is JP Auto Paint Works from you? Seems to be doing a very decent job at extremely reasonable prices.

I would not use a dealership's body shop. You will get what you pay for. Budget priced body shops tend to skimp on the details and preparation work leading up to the paint application. Just ask Earl Scheib.

Call your insurance agent and ask who they would recommend. They often are aware of several choices and hear about complaints from poor work, etc.

Since you live near Austin, I would check the websites of car clubs for various euro brands. As an example, there's a BMW Car Club of America chapter in Austin. Contact the officers (their emails will be listed) and ask them for recommendations.

LOL I am surprised there are any car clubs in Austin unless they're lowriders.

I will check with Black Forest off of Burnet road. Good guys. I used to take my piano tuners 89 BMW there for service. Had a good impression of them. Maybe they would know somebody.

You could replace the bumper cover yourself and have MAACO paint it for you. A 13 year old commuter vehicle so I assume you’re not looking for perfection.

I will be replacing the OEM plastic Bumper Cover myself, so will want a decent job done. The car in just about perfect condition inside and out. Just a couple of parking lot door dings. Since it is black paint I am not anticipating any matching problems. Just so we are clear I just want the plastic panel painted, not an entire paint job. Places like MAACO, it's best to do the prep yourself.
