Need a reliable portable tire inflator

OASSER tire inflator . They have 12V and 20V hand held inflators . Own the 12V and still works well .

This shuts off when reaching P.S.I. setting . Used over 6 years w/o problems . Purchased through Amazon . Can do 4 15" tires with ease when topping off . Milwaulee battery tools are now made in ROC.

I got one of those $50 amazon ones includes the battery +charger+ tool.

I would not buy it again. The tool is great, no complaints. But the battery is unpredictable at best. Sometimes i full charge it, and it can only inflate 2 of my tires after a track day (say, adding 10 psi each), but usually it can do it 8 times. It has a battery indicator that can go from 2/3 to 0 immediately.

For the next one, i am looking at ryobi ones

otherwise pick one that goes with any battery system you currently have.

ie ryobi, dewalt milwaukee etc.

I have the m12 inflator and its handy esp. for just topping off a few psi.

may be some Black Friday sales coming up...I seem to recall last year Home Depot had a great price for their 18V inflator (I missed out on it eating too long) but that sale price never returned...

Dewalt is portable battery version and needs to be charged. I don't know if it has car plug type connections.

The Viair has no batteries, uses your car power. Versions like the 88P have alligator clips to battery so not reliant on power port thin wiring/smaller fuse.

Wife got me an M18 inflator for Christmas. I used it a couple times, very nice, not loud. I need an adapter from the screw on so I don't lose air. I ordered a 1/4" NPT-M to Schrader adapter and the Jaco Open flow Lightning S2. I want to keep it short/easy store not the extra hose or size of the Lock-n-Flate. I've had no issues with the locking chuck on my Jaco inflator for my regular compressor.

I went this route for the adapter on my M18 inflator and lives on the hose coiled as usual. It works on car tires, Gorilla cart, and wheelbarrow tires quite nicely.

Had the Kobalt ac/dc one. Worked well but broke after 3 years but only a handful of uses. Used for trailer tires etc at 65 psi.
I have already have a compressor, this is for the small remote needs.

Anyone have one that has proved to be reliable and long lasting?

Metabo HPTs inflator is so good I gave my dewalt one to my neighbor.

Nothing tops my Milwaukee inflator but, for much less money and darn good performance is the Bauer from Harbor freight. Both of these run off the same battery that powers their other tools for convenience if you have their tools. If you want a simple light plug in style then the Slime brand ones do a respectable job and are cheap enough at AZ or walmart.

Plot twist, what if you got an air tank with hose and chuck you could take down to the trailer? It'd be reliable as all get-out.

That depends how much air it needs when you get there and how big that tank is.
