On Sat., Sept. 2, Carroll College, a small NAIA college division team from Helena, Montana, plays its first football game of the season. CC (Carroll College) was the national champion the last FOUR (that's 4) years in a row in the NAIA 16 team national championship playoffs, a feat never before exceeded at any level of college football. If they win the national championship this year, they will be the first team at any level of college football to win the national championship 5 years in a row. It has been 22 games since the team was last beaten. In the past 4 seasons the team has only been beaten 3 or 4 times. They are rated the number 1 team in the nation at the NAIA level this year. This year's team features a senior fullback and a senior running back each of which gained over 1,000 rushing yards last year, and each of which is an excellent blocker and pass receiver. These guys are just about unstoppable. This is probably the best rushing duo in the nation at any level of college football. Both are NAIA All-American candidates this year. The quarterback was the backup the past two years, is an excellent passer, and is an excellent 6' 4", 226 lb. scrambler that can run extremely well. In the past two years he has lined up as a backup quarterback, fullback, running back, and wide receiver and has done very well at each position.

This team is going to pile up BIG rushing yardage this year, and has the passing and receivers ability to also pile up big passing yardage. Keep an eye on them if you are into small time college football. Go Saints (Carroll is a Catholic, liberal arts, college, thus the team name of Saints). Watch for the team to pile up 300-500 yds. per game in rushing alone, while keeping the opposition's defense honest with a good passing attack.

In addition, by the way, they have had one of the best defenses in the nation during the past 4 years at the NAIA level.
