Napa Gold air filter got wet, should it be replaced?

That has to do with the fuel injection and emission systems. You might get lucky with replacing parts, but it really sounds to me like you got a lot more wet than you might think you did. Parts replacement trying to track a problem with this can get very frustrating and expensive. This is just a personal opinion, but those simple codes are just to give you an idea of where the problem is. Sort of like, "oh fuel injector problem code" and you go look and it is unplugged or something obvious. I think you might be money ahead getting a diagnostic with real time data to see if injectors just need flushed out and cleaned, or if the computer is malfunctioning, etc.
Now I can finally put this one to bed! I took a chance and bought a made in Japan oem maf sensor from the dealer, and to my surprise they even let me haggle with them! $220 taxes in down from $247 before tax. Plugged it in and bam, runs perfect. No more hick ups or bucking at low speeds. I will kinda miss how it sounded like it had an aggressive cam in it tho....

Vehicle and part details, please.

Was Denso or Hitachi involved?
2006 Saturn Ion Redline. Not sure who made the MAF sensor, but I do know it has 'JAPAN' stamped on it.
I thought I heard that Hitachi made the sensor, can't say for sure though!

Interesting. Saturn was a GM company as was Pontiac. Around those years the Pontiac Vibe was made and was just a rebranded Toyota Matrix. I wonder if there were some Toyota parts on the Ion.

My Saturn has way more SAAB parts than anything, namely the motor and 5 Spd manual trans (trans kinda sux btw) I'm sure there are a few other sensors Made in Japan though, probably why it runs so well.... 😁
