The most recent horrible experience I've had with a car was a 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5. I was rid of it by early 2004. Thankfully I was able to trade it in, instead of setting it on fire and driving it off a cliff. That experience, a lot of online horror stories, and the general direction they've taken with their design and engineering has kept me off of their dealership lots.

Anything with a VG33E Nissan, horrible to work on.
Ford 6.4's diesels
Anything DI

Subaru. We bought a brand new 2001 Outback with the 2.5 liter engine and 5-speed manual transmission. One serious problem after another. 1) head gasket leaks, 2) clutch chatter with multiple replacements until a recall on the flywheel was finally issued, 3) bad wheel bearings on all four corners (noisy), 4) defective electrical wiring and connections throughout the tail light assemblies on the lift gate, 5) extremely poor snow performance (which I was finally told by Subaru the AWD system on the manual transmission cars is inferior the that of the auto trans cars), 6) on both sides the front side window corners chafed and cut through the window moulding.

Why do you dislike them?

Silver Bell; rusted out
Storm Trooper; gas hog
Darth Vader; although my dogs liked riding in DV more than I liked the car. Paint faded badly.

Anything I'm not comfy in. 6'1 and 270ish. That eliminates anything Explorer sized and smaller.

Nothing made by Stellantis in the last 5 years or so. I can't think of one single attractive Stellantis product. And I used to be a big ol Jeep fanboy. They all look like a constipated dog trying its best to let it out. Cherokees and Durangos should not look like constipated minivans. The exception might be a Wrangler, but would have to do something about those headlights.

I'll buck the trend here with BITOG old men, the Panther Platform Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles.

While durable, my experience was just MEH. Seems like it was an inefficient use of resources.

But, my grandmother loved hers, and we got a few years out of it after she hung up the keys.

I saw it today at the customer site where I sold it one of the security guards. So it's 25 years old and still soldiering on.

Honorable mention for the Chevy Cavalier. While I didn't buy it, my mom did, and I drove it from DFW to DEN and then from DEN to STL each time she moved.

It was a miserable driving experience.

My account of that is here somewhere.
