Having two sedans myself, I would like to start this thread to get your honest experience with tires that you have driven that exceeded the manufacturer's rated mileage.

Please provide your info below:

your sedan's year, make and model
your tire's specific brand and its rated mileage, for example, Cooper CS5 Grand Touring, 80K miles
how many miles did your tires lasted beyond its rated mileage
How did you do it? and provide any pics of your tires before you replaced them.

Please share your feelgood stories.

Hankook H767 on a toyota sienna. Vans are hard on tires and these lasted pver 60k miles. The original tires were done at 30k.

My Camry had a pair of Michelin Harmonys. They had an 80K mile rating if I recall correctly, and the tires had approximately 97K on them when they were replaced. They actually had a bit of tread left.

Strangely I did the same thing on our grand Cherokee with those same tires10 years ago.. great tires!

235/45-18 Goodyear Eagle LS-2's on our 2012 Passat. Tires rated for 40k and we have almost 50k on them now. They're at 5.5/32's and 4.5/32's as of the last service and should hopefully be able to go until next summer which should put them in the mid 50k mile range.

Ditto. My roads are apparently twisty.

2002 Civic Hatch
2 sets of Michelin (i think they were mxv4) and 1 set of Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread. Michelins were 50k I believe and I went 60k on both and "still had life left" according to tire dealer. They were 4/32 so I got rid of them. I went to the granny speed rating with the Goodyears and went 105k with them before trading the car. They were 80 or 90k rated.
I rotate every 5-8k, don't drive aggressively often, etc.

In my new Toyota the dealer has said, "your tires are wearing VERY well!" I think it's rotations, honestly. Look at tires in parking lots. SO MANY times I see front and rear tires COMPLETELY different in wear. Odd that it's usually free to get done and so many seem to ignore it.

Whether on a sedan or some other body configuration shouldn't matter.
I had 155SR13 and similar P155/80-13 tires routinely roll beyond 100k miles, back before tires came with silly mileage warranties.

All my summer and winter tires exceeded their warranty as there was none.
Maybe except Michelin XiIce Xi3 but they are not worn out yet.

Tire wear has little to do with body style and everything to do with how the car is used.
A user who does lots of straight up running on the highway or straightish two lanes will see good tire life while a city driven vehicle will see more rapid tire wear.
A driver who always slows down for corners will see longer tread life than one who corners aggressively.
Road surface also matters in that those living in areas with nice smooth pavement will see less wear than those who have to drive on poorly maintained roads with gravel being the ultimate tire shredder.
I've had long tire life on my daily drivers largely due to the conditions through which I drive on my commute.

Yes. Even for equal driving habits on equally well maintained pavement, wear rates vary regionally, because the type of stone used to make the pavement is a big factor.

The Cooper Zeon RS3-A tires on my Fusion are WAY past the warranted mileage at this point.

W-rated. 215/55R17 98W

UTQG - 500AAA treadwear rating

Mileage warranty on the tires is 40,000 Miles, but I had these put on when the car had 212,995 miles, and the car is currently at about 260,120 miles as of an hour ago, meaning the tires have a little over 47,000 miles on them. As of Saturday, the tread was roughly 6/32 all the way around, so I expect to get between 55,000 and 60,000 miles out of them.
