My old LP's

Actually-many of Tichsikovsky's works played by various Philharmonic's around the country are on Amazon music. This is exactly why I liquidated my LP collection about 3 or 4 years ago. I don't need the tactile experience of touching vinyl-and Amazon's Music collection is extensive and available with a simple verbal command.
I stream as well. Incredible quality in ultra HD. Along with the tactile attributes of vinyl, I actually enjoy the “defects” of the original pressing. Despite the limitations of these recordings, dynamic range, surface noise (which in this case is minimal), and relative lack of sound stage (versus a well done stereo recording), it is quite enjoyable. Surprisingly, the original is more enjoyable to listen to than the updates.

A change of pace from the old school classical. David Bowie circa 1972. Sophomore at UConn.

Just listened to the same album but streamed in UltraHD in my Amazon Music app through WiiM Pro Plus. This was a 2012 remaster of the 1972 original so not quite apples to apples. The original vinyl album really holds it own!

Not L.P. , but analog . Listened to them Saturday night with YAMAHA KX-W592 dual cassette >DH LABS Silver Sonic BL-1 series 2 interconnects > Harman Kardon AVR 25II > DH LABS Silver Sonic T-14 ( 14 AWG ) speaker cables > SOUND DYNAMICS 300 Ti ( 3/4 titanium dome tweeter , 4" midrange , 8" woofer w/ rear port ) speakers on isolated metal stands filled with sand . All are close to 30 years old .

I'm the audiophile in the family going back 40+ years. I had a family member call me out of the blue said he was disposing of his old LP's and did I want them before he tossed them. So I drove a town over to pick them up. A few years later he called and said his kid is at that age and wants his dads LP's returned and would I please return them... At this point the Lp's are all mixed in with my collection and I have ZERO idea what Lp's I saved from him dumping in the trash and now he wants them back and was hot under the collar about it...
Family, what you gonna do?

Not weighing in here! Family feud!!

Ok how about turning it into a teachable moment?

He comes over. You teach him care and respect for LPs and find out if his turntable is acceptable.

Let him go with 10 or so even if yours. He brings back those 10 in good shape he can then borrow 20…,

Ask for a list of what he gave you. When he doesn’t know (likely) give his son an equal number of your least favorite. lol

I still have my 45rpm's from high school (1965-69). I lived on a farm in Kansas. Dad finally installed a Radio on the Tractor so I could listen to AM stations. It was a fancy radio with a CB radio built-in. The CB radio's reach was about 8 miles. Dad could always contact me from the road-"Big Brother" like today. Dad had a console radio/turntable piece of furniture and he would let me use it.
I got hooked on tunes in the Army (1971-4) and ordered my Stereo equipment from Japan Pacific Exchange duty-free.
I have 33LPs. When I got a new album I would cut a cassette tape. Play the tape in my car. Some of my albums have only been played once. The albums are all sleeved awaiting the next collector.
My Dishwasher bottle is empty, too.
I still have my original box for the Stylus mounted to my SL1950.
I need new belts for my Technics B28R. Anyone know where I could find a set?

I Googled my turntable to find the right size belt for my turntable and then bought it from Amazon. I think I had to do a fractional to metric conversion.

If you can't find the size you need, I believe Amazon had an assortment of five sizes of belts for not too much money.

I bought a new cartridge too, because a replacement stylus for my original Shure V15 cost more than I paid for the Marantz turntable and cartridge in1977.

I would try https://www.turntableneedles.com
They have extensive database of vintage turntable belts, cartridges and other hard to find parts.

My Technics turntable is direct drive. Technics B28R is my Cassette Deck.
