Probably so, this one was very fast as well. He would come pretty close if he saw I had food, but otherwise would haul [censored] into the pond. He was fun to interact with though. He'd pop his head out of the water, then go back under and pop back up in a different spot. Each time he'd creep closer to the bank of the pond until he could reach his treat.

I also saw him get into a scuffle with another turtle...that was wild!

There was a huge turtle of some kind living in the pond behind my old house. It was about the size of a guitar case and liked meat. Ham, meatballs, and raw chicken were all favorites, but most of the time I just gave him bread. I think he also ate some eggs another turtle laid on the bank of the pond.

Interesting fact for you, did you know that Snappers snap as a defense mechanism because their head can't fit all the way into their shell like other turtles.

Awesome! I never knew that. I always thought is was because they were mean as heck! Anyone ever have a pet Alligator Snapper?

Cute!
What's his 0-60 time?

Nice pics. I love wildlife and that turtle looked like a hungry person in a buffet line! He was probably very happy!

I remember once I saw a turtle along the edge of the road, so I stopped and moved him into the ditch. Not sure what happened to him but at least he didn't get run over.
