At various times I've tried a topsider, a mityvac, and my current HF 6.25gal model.. none got close to even 80% of the old oil out.
my tractor it leaves 1-2oz out of 65oz. other cars similar.

When pulled in forward to the garage the floor has a slight tilt from front of forester to the back. So the front wheels are just slightly higher than the back wheels. The first time I used the pump, I removed the oil plug to see how much came out and verify and only two drops came out of the drain plug. It is actually the best vehicle I have had for use with the oil extractor. There is a sweet spot as if you put the pump tube too far in, it turns up and comes out of the bottom of the pan. So sometimes I have to extract until i get bubbles then pull the tube out a bit to get the rest of it.
I might be going to but a 25 Forester Wilderness tomorrow .They have the color i want and they wont be around much longer as the Wilderness is still the 24 style Forester . Decisions decisions . Tundra has 97,000 on it and is in excellent cond.But i dont tow or haul anything and its becoming a pain to change oil etc as i can't put in the garage in winter to service it.Forester will fit in and is the easiest vehicle ive ever changed the oil on .I like the Tundra and it's been a very good truck. Just think its time to move on.

Congrats. Let us know how you enjoy it! I considered a Outback Wilderness myself before I picked up my WRX. The Wilderness trim is really nice if done well.I should be picking it up this Wednesday.Can't wait.
Picked it up tonight .Love it so far.Had them install trailer hitch and tint front doors.

You had the dealer tint your windows? What did they charge for it?
Not sure honestly.But they took it to a local shop that does really nice work and i had the same shop tint my Tundra when i had it. Guessing $100 or so .But worth it to me as now i dont have to go get them done .

$100 for tints is unheard of these days so if the quality holds you definitely got a steal for them.
So we ended up trading the Crown for a 25' CT. The Crown was a great car but we live on a dirt road and it wasn't a good fit for our living conditions and the 21" wheels were getting beat. Now Rob had to make me mad after seeing that awesome color on the Forester... Now I wish I would have done that exact model 
On a side note rant... These arn't 70's muscle cars. I'm not a fan of them putting the white lettering of the tires on the outside sidewalls. Reminds me of old school BFG Radial TA's on a 70' Chevelle.
I wasnt sure about the white letters.But it doesnt look all that bad in person and the lettering is somewhat on the small side ,so it's not too bad. When i replace the tires the will be black walls .Absolutely love the
Forester Wilderness so far.
