Dave, I feel for you Bro. I thank my lucky stars I don't have to work in retail given the way things and people are today. I did it when I was in my late teens, but it was different ~25yrs ago.
Like Chris, I work outdoors a good deal of the time day/night on a regular rotating shift, continuous operation. If you're on nights, weekends or holidays, you manage the WHOLE deal. I love my job.
